Our Bucks
Grand Champion Spang's D'Artagnan
Spang's D'Artagnan is a Sable Pearl senior buck. His sire is G.C. Spang's Dijon, his dam is G.C. Spang's Juno. He has nice, dark shading and a really dense coat.
D'Artagnan has earned 10 Grand Champion legs: 3 Best in Show, 5 Best of Breed, 1 Best Opposite Sex of Breed, and 1 Best Opposite Sex of Variety, and is the foundation buck for our French Angora herd.
Morning Glory's Brendan (G.C. Pending)
Brendan has 3 legs toward his Grand Championship, which is pending submission of paperwork to ARBA.
Grand Champion Spanish Oak's Diamond Jim
Spanish Oak's Diamond Jim is a REW (ruby eyed white) buck. He is sired by Bonnie's Snow Cloud, his dam is G.C. Valhalla's Diamond Lil. "D.J." as we call him has the friendliest personality of all of our rabbits! He insists on a head-scratch at every feeding. He passes along his friendly personality to his offspring, along with great type!
D.J. has earned 4 Grand Champion legs: 1 Best of Breed and 3 Best Opposite Sex of Breed.
Grand Champion Spang's Dijon
Dijon has 8 Grand Champion legs.
I have had a hard time coming up with a picture to post of Dijon - he is a very active and curious boy, and simply will not sit still for a "proper" portrait! So, here is Dijon as himself......formal portrait STILL pending.....
Two Oaks' Kieron
Born on St. Patrick's Day, it seemed fitting to give him an Irish name. "Kieron" means "little dark one", the perfect name for this, the darkest of the litter. He was so dark initially that I did not think he was a tort at all; he looked to be a solid grey!
Kieron has two Grand Champion legs.
Two Oaks' Jack Frost
This litter of mostly whites was born during the first of 3 major snow storms during the winter of 2009-2010, so all were given "snowy" names. Jack has a particularly dense coat.
Two Oaks' Orin
Orin is pictured here as a young Senior, still in his junior coat. Orin and several of his siblings had really massive, lovely junior coats with an especially long hold time. In his case, I did not shear him until he was 10 months old, and at that point his coat was only beginning to slip. I am looking forward to seeing how this junior coat translates into a senior coat!
